Onagofly is a palm-sized drone with GPS Auto-follow and high Res Video Camera to Take Better Photos and great video,the Onagofly is controlled with an iOS or Android device and is primarily designed to snap aerial selfies or record 1080p full-HD video while it follows you around in the air. A free mobile app lets you fly the device via a direct Wi-Fi connection, which stretches up to 30 meters (98 feet), by tilting your smartphone or with onscreen keys. Built-in GPS syncs with the GPS in your phone so the Onagofly will automatically track your movement. There are also passive infrared sensors on each side for basic avoidance of obstacles within 20cm of the drone. Plus, it measures only 5 by 5 by 2 inches (125 by 125 by 46 mm) and weighs in at just 140 grams (o.3 pounds) -- less than the FAA's 250-gram weight to require registration -- so it's something you can just toss in a bag.What's new in onagofly V1.6.912.beta

You really need to read the instructions BEFORE you turn it on. If you hold your phone vertical and turn it on, you WILL CRASH immediately! You must keep the phone perfectly level, take off quickly and ascend to about 10 feet. MAKE SURE the orange propellers are AWAY from you - that is the front. JUst use a gentle tilting motion on the phone until you get used to it. Don't try to rotate for the first couple of flights, you will get disorientated. Glance to look at the battery level once in a while - when the battery warning comes on, land soon - or it will autoland for you no matter what you are over.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Christian Todhunter:</span> Failure Fails to control drone. When it didn't crash, it was often unresponsive. I would push a button and nothing would happen. The manual says it must be turned on via the app but THE APP MENU DOES NOT LIST THE OBJECT AVOID FUNCTION. I am not impressed. If you put your money on the table like the rest of us then this is what you need to try to fly this little thing. Yes the app does work and the device does fly. No it does not work like in the advertising but you likely put a pretty good shine on your resume as well. Just go slow and pay attention to the details. Find someone with quad experience to assist you with this and you should be OK for a while. Since you cannot change the battery the device is trash as soon as the battery is dead. If you over discharge the battery you are DONE. There is no easy way to test it or change it. Hopefully they will update the app soon and it should be a bit more fun. If you are just considering a purchase - forget it. Read a few more of the reviews. Like a lot of things the concept was kinda neat but the reality is basically a POS. Don't let this one mistake discourage you if you think the RC hobby is for you. Find a local club and try to meet some members and find a mentor. Uninstall, return your Onagofly, and wait for someone else to release a viable product that works. The app sometimes wont show the video. Sometimes the app freezes or loses connection with the drone (even thou I'm close to it). I had to put the drone into non-tilt control mode (use the screen controls) to get any decent control on it at all. Broke two blades already because I can't control it fully. Please Onago! You would think that there would be a failsafe on the drone, considering it's $300 to land it or return to home if the app crashes. Nope. The drone just kept flying away, over 200 yards before the battery gave out and it crashed on pavement that I wasn't anywhere close to. Waste of money.
